Brabus Pumps Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Up to 405 HP, 420 LB-FT

T he Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG - forthcoming renamed Mercedes-AMG C43 - is the most recent casualty of German tuning firm Brabus. This time, Brabus has updated the auto's 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 motor to wrench out an additional 43 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque, conveying complete yield to 405 hp and 420 lb-ft. It's not the most stunning execution redesign we've ever seen from Brabus (hi, 591-hp AMG GT S), yet it's still a pleasant change for the C450 that openings between standard C-Class models and the wild Mercedes-AMG C63.

With the additional execution on tap, Brabus says the C450 can rocket to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and on to a top pace of 174 mph, contrasted with the manufacturing plant evaluated 0-to-60-mph time of 4.8 seconds. The additional execution comes on account of a module tuning module that remaps the twin-turbo motor's help weight, ignition, and fuel infusion procedures.
