Subaru Cross Sport Design Concept Shown at 2013 Tokyo Auto Show
D espite Subaru's April Fool's joke around a diesel BRZ convertible a year ago, the Subaru Cross Sport Design - basically a BRZ wagon - is no joke. It's a genuine idea auto at the 2013 Tokyo automobile fair, and in spite of the fact that we have no clue whether it will make creation, it's an irrefutably cool tackle the hybrid.
Our associates at Motor Trend report that the Subaru Cross Sport Design is somewhat more than a BRZ, with a higher ride stature and a more upright back trapdoor region. Despite everything it has two entryways', regardless it fueled by a boxer motor driving the back wheels, yet it has a CVT set up of the BRZ's ordinary six-speed manual and programmed transmissions.
In front, the Cross Sport Design looks much like a BRZ, with marginally altered headlights and flared out bumpers that give it an Outback-ish look. Seen from the profile, the Cross Sport Design has an any longer rooftop that permits the back seats to be pushed back for more space. The inside is absolutely revamped, with a modernized design including a vast focus LCD screen, a push-catch gear selector, and another level base directing wheel. The back of the Cross Sport Design is likewise new, with a split rear end plan supplanting the BRZ's trunk and apparently giving more load room.
We have no clue if this Cross Sport Design idea is bound for generation at any point in the near future, however one can dare to dream. Obviously Subaru says this idea means to demonstrate its concept of what urban SUVs and hybrids will look like later on. That is a future we can live with - all things considered, who doesn't love a BRZ wagon?
