Review Automotive 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible Boasts 640 Supercharged Horses
Review automotive Oh, you thought the Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet was an effective convertible? Investigate the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 droptop and reconsider. Presented at the 2016 New York automobile expo, it's a topless form of the 640-hp Camaro ZL1 roadster we drove recently.
As in the roadster, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 convertible has a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 producing 640 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. Purchasers pick between a six-speed manual transmission or another ten-speed programmed.
Despite the fact that there are no execution figures or a check weight yet, Chevy says the ZL1 convertible has "tantamount" execution to the car, and that just "minor" auxiliary changes were expected to harden the skeleton. Chevrolet said that the standard Camaro convertible, as well, was at that point sufficiently hardened that it required next to no additional propping; it's said to be 28 percent stiffer than its forerunner.
Truth be told, the topless ZL1 will get all the same superior redesigns as the car: Brembo brakes with 15.4-inch front rotors, 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires, an electronically controlled constrained slip differential, Magnetic Ride suspension, and Performance Traction Management gadgets with dispatch control. Inside overhauls incorporate Recaro front seats and a level base directing wheel.
Stay tuned for more points of interest on the gigantic new Camaro ZL1 convertible.
